DESIGNER BRAND HIGHLIGHTS

1921 Denim

Created some thirty years ago by an ambitious lad, Allan Kemp, 1921 jeans have become the label for finely crafted great fitting denim.  A brand that prides itself on being denim enthusiasts, 1921 jeans were created simply for “the joy of making jeans.”

During his denim education Kemp studied under master patternmakers and hand denim stitchers with decades of history.  His years of study allowed Kemp to formulate his own distinct beliefs on how jeans should be made and marketed. Each pair of 1921 jeans is made from high quality Japanese fabric and ring spun on original Japanese machinery.  The jeans are hand crafted, hand cut, treated and washed to create a uniquely authentic pair of vintage inspired jeans. Through the process of busting the seams, Kemp has managed to eliminate the bump on the seams and front pockets.  Seams are reinforced using a zigzag stitch that also provides increased durability and a unique product identifier. Rather than following a standard pattern the back pockets are scaled to match each individual pair.  Should you wear through any portion of your jeans the tag, made itself of finely spun denim, may be used as an authentic patch. In addition to being finely crafted, 1921 jeans are made without the use of harmful chemicals. This maintains the durability of the fabric and allows the buyer to make an environmentally conscious purchase. With all of these quality controls in manufacturing its no wonder 1921 jeans are reputed to be the most comfortable, form fitting, body flattering denim on the market.

Preferring the label “denim interpreter” Allan Kemp’s definitive designs have made their mark on denim and will continue to do so for many, many future seasons.

Butterfly Dropout

Butterfly Dropout is a line of clothing that may well be inspired by a little girl’s dreams of a fairy tale forest.  Patterned with pastel skylines and littered with fairies, unicorns, flowers and angels Butterfly Dropout is bohemian, comfortable and sweet.

With detailed designs printed to resemble tattoos, Butterfly Dropout has created a line of tee shirts, tank tops, dresses and skirts that are airy and exquisitely feminine.  Part fairy tale part Sistene Chapel the clothing maintains an air of innocence with a slight edge. Cut to flatter the female shape their v-neck wrap-arounds, empire waists and three-quarter button downs are soft and wearable.  They can be paired with jeans and pumps for a touch of class or dressed down and complimented by a well-worn pair of cowboy boots.

With descriptive names like “full bloom,” “opium dress” and “rosebud thermal” it’s easy to see why this brand is hitting the big time and selling out.
