SMETSmet is what happens when icons collaborate. It is a line of rock and roll threads showcasing the design talent of Christian Audigier and his rock and roll hero Johny Hallyday.Audigier has been cementing his place as a denim king since the age of 19 with jobs at Levi’s, Fierucci, Diesel, Bsiou Bsiou, American Eagle Outfitters and Von Dutch. In 2004 he announced he would be leaving Von Dutch to debut his own line of clothing and accessories inspired by American culture, motorcycle culture and the art of tattoos. Influenced greatly by the Godfather of tattoo’s Audigier named his line Ed Hardy. Using his creative genius and Hardy’s tattoo legendry the label flourished spawning energy drinks, motorcycles and a pending house ware’s line. Audigier then set his sights on achieving a dream: to collaborate with his idol Johny Hallyday. Smet is a line of tees, tanks, denim, polos, caps and accessories designed to chronicle the career and vivacious personality of Hallyday. The graphic tees include spades, crests, animals, and all things rock and roll. The line is worn by Chris Brown, Tyrese, Nas, Shakira, Marilyn Manson, Madonna and America’s Next Top Model Caridee English. |
